However difficult it may be at first there are a wide range of benefits from waking up early. I personally have become an early riser, getting up at 5am everyday to meditate, read, and work on myself puts me in an incredibly positive mood to go about the rest of my day. Here are the top 4 benefits of waking up early!

1) Increased Productivity

By waking up earlier you will find more hours in the day to get everything done. You will be crossing off items on your to-do lists one by one; that feeling of productivity is contagious and will spread to all other areas of your life. Waking up early can be a challenge but the long-run benefits heavily outweigh the challenge.

2)Increased Mental Health

In the morning right when you wake up your mind is completely clear and level. This is a peak time to work on personal development, your business, school, or go for a run. This time of the day has very little distraction, you’ll be able to get everything important out of the way in a much more timely fashion.

3) Decreased Stress and Anxiety

By being able to get the most important tasks (your big rocks) finished and out of the way the less you’ll have to be stressed and anxious about. We are exposed to a stimuli overload almost every second of the day, by getting the important tasks completed you have the rest of the day to do the fun stuff!

4) Increased Physical Health

Waking up early literally adds hours to your day that you didn’t know you had. You can start working out more to get in shape. What’s great is that we don’t have to work out to experience the health benefits of waking up early.

Waking up earlier than you do now increases the likelihood of you eating breakfast and as we all know that is the most important meal of the day. Early risers tend to go to bed and wake up at the same time everyday, this puts the body into a routine. When our body is used to a routine—a habit is formed—our bodies waste less energy on thinking and more energy on doing. This excess energy can be used to fuel our bodies to conquer the day!
